During the initial stage of the wastewater treatment process, known as screening, Searcy Water Utilities employs a screening mechanism to remove larger objects from the wastewater. This step helps to prevent any solid materials, such as sticks, rocks, or debris larger than half an inch in size, from entering the treatment system.
The wastewater is passed through screens that contain openings or mesh of appropriate sizes. These screens effectively capture and retain the larger objects, allowing only the liquid portion of the wastewater to proceed further into the treatment process. The screened materials, including sticks, rocks, and other debris, are then appropriately disposed of to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the treatment facility
