In December 2003 (revised March 2012), the Searcy Board of Public Utilities adopted the following mission statements:
Mission Statement - Water:
It is the mission of the Searcy Board of Public Utilities, operating as Searcy Water Utilities, to provide water utility services to the citizens of Searcy, Arkansas, using the best practical technologies. This mission also extends to providing water service directly or indirectly to the citizens of White County, Arkansas.
In fulfilling these services, our utility strives to maintain adequate pressure for fire protection and other public safety purposes. We make every effort to ensure sufficient water volume to meet the demands of our customers. Moreover, we are committed to delivering a quality of water to our customers' meters that meets or exceeds all regulatory requirements for potable water. We recognize their strong desire for clean, clear, and tasteful water.
All these services are provided at a cost that is reasonable and equitable for all customers within our system. We aim to ensure the financial stability of our utility well into the future. We acknowledge that the successful execution of these vital functions is made possible through the dedication and experience of our utility's employees. Therefore, we strive to maintain a work environment that fosters productivity, safety, and professionalism.
Mission Statement - Wastewater:
It is the mission of the Searcy Board of Public Utilities, operating as Searcy Water Utilities, to provide wastewater utility services to the citizens of Searcy, Arkansas, using the best practical technologies.
In providing these services, our utility seeks to efficiently convey customers' wastewater from their taps to the treatment center. We ensure that adequate treatment is performed in an environmentally responsible manner, meeting or surpassing all appropriate regulatory requirements.
These wastewater services are provided at a cost that is reasonable and equitable for all customers within our system. We strive to ensure the financial stability of our utility well into the future. We recognize that the successful execution of these vital functions is made possible through the effort and experience of our dedicated employees. Therefore, we endeavor to maintain a work environment that promotes productivity, safety, and professionalism.
